Donations are invited in Brian’s memory to the Brian E Beck Memorial Fund.

This fund is established to support the development and teaching of Methodist Theology to which Brian dedicated much of his scholarly life. This is the fund designated by the Beck family for donations in his memory. It will be administered by the Board of Trustees of Wesley House Cambridge where Brian was a member in various capacities for more than 65 years.
Brian came to Wesley House as a graduate student in 1955 and left in 1957. He returned for the Michaelmas Term in 1966 while on furlough from Kenya, particularly to improve his liturgical studies. In 1968 he came as Tutor and in 1980 became Principal. He left in 1984. On retirement he returned to Wesley House as our Archivist, a role he relinquished when he turned 90.

He died peacefully at home in Cambridge in November 2022 in the 90th year of his age and the 66th year of his ministry.
